Barkley N. Porter, Director of Marketing

Barkley N. Porter joins TOBA as Director of Marketing bringing with him national and international experience – at the executive-administrative level – throughout a career largely within the Thoroughbred racing industry. A lifetime horseman, Porter considers his twelve years at Hollywood Park among the most important and educational of his career. During his tenure, Porter headed the satellite simulcast division of the company and grew Hollywood’s signal to perhaps the largest and most desired in the industry. Recruited by the National Thoroughbred Racing Association, Porter was named Vice President, Sales & Business Development. Growing up in Scottsdale, Arizona, Porter began riding Quarter Horses and Arabians in western equitation shows at a very early age. During summer breaks – through the high school and college years – he divided his time between Del Mar – walking hots and rubbing horses – and working his uncle’s cattle ranch in Silt, Colorado.
