“The criminal charges announced earlier this week regarding equine doping in horse racing were an outrage to our entire industry. The use of banned substances in racing must never be tolerated, as it places the safety of our human and equine athletes at risk, as well as compromising fair and clean competition for all participants, including owners and trainers. We must all embrace the necessary reforms and initiatives to ensure that Thoroughbred racing is being conducted at the highest levels of integrity. TOBA has been a supporter of the Coalition for Horseracing Integrity and the Thoroughbred Safety Coalition and will continue to advocate for meaningful change in our sport.”
