2014 Eclipse Awards
The 43rd Annual Eclipse Award dinner was held on January 18 at Gulfstream Park. TOBA is excited to announce the following winners who are owned and/or bred by TOBA members:
- Wise Dan, owned and bred by Morton Fink, won Horse of the Year, Older Male and Male Turf
- Shared Belief, bred by Pam and Martin Wygod, won 2-Year-Old-Male
- Beholder, owned by Spendthrift Farm, won 3-Year-Old-Female
- Divine Fortune, owned by Jonathan Sheppard, won Steeplechase Horse
- Ken and Sarah Ramsey won Owners and Breeders of the Year

Welfare and Safety Summit
The Welfare and Safety of the Racehorse Summit, conducted by The Jockey Club and Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, will be held at the Keeneland sales pavilion on July 8-9. The seminar is open to the public and also available via live webcast. Read more.

24th Annual TCA Stallion Season Auction a Success
TCA supporters packed the Keeneland Entertainment Center
for the 24th Annual Select Stallion Season Auction
Approximately 200 seasons were auctioned at the 24th annual Stallion Season Auction held earlier this month. While most of the seasons were sold during the telephone and online portion of the auction, 16 select seasons and one lifetime breeding right were offered at the live, Select Season Auction. Approximately 250 people attended the live auction at the Keeneland Entertainment Center.
In addition to the seasons, non-season lots including a Triple Crown ticket package, John Deere mower, tickets to the 2014 Breeders’ Cup and an African safari were offered.
The auction was a great success thanks to our donors, sponsors, bidders, advertisers and supporters. The auction makes it possible for TCA to provide grants to Thoroughbred related non-profits throughout the country.

Anniversary Kitty was a maiden winner at Betfair Hollywood Park for Owners Bruce and Cass Maller of Highlander Racing Stable on 12/21/13.
Herbal Prospector won an ALW at Aqueduct for Breeder Adena Springs on 1/12/14.
Spellbound won the La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita Park for Owner Ramona Bass on 1/19/14.
Dial Up was a maiden winner at Sam Houston Race Park for Owner/Breeder W.S. Farish on 1/21/14.
