Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Announces 2026 Pedigree & Conformation Clinic at Ocala Breeders’ Sales
Lexington, KY— The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) is pleased to announce that its 2026 Pedigree & Conformation Clinic will take place March 9–10, 2026, at Ocala Breeders’ Sales in Ocala, Florida. This event is one of two Pedigree & Conformation Clinics TOBA will host in 2026, expanding educational opportunities for owners and breeders throughout the year. The Ocala clinic will be held the day before and during the OBS March 2-Year-Olds in Training Sale, scheduled for March 10–12.
Designed for both new and experienced participants, the clinic will offer a comprehensive introduction to key concepts that support informed decision-making in the Thoroughbred industry. Attendees will learn about:
- The sales environment and how auction processes work
- Fundamental principles of evaluating pedigrees and conformation
- Considerations when preparing young horses for public auction
- Insights into equine care, management, and ownership
- Resources available to support owners, breeders, and racing partnerships
- Factors involved in evaluating 2-year-olds in training, including movement and stride characteristics
